GLAAD has announced the nominees for it’s 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards… while the list is too long to mention here, the nominees for Outstanding Film – Wide Release are: All Of Us Strangers, American Fiction, Anyone But You, The Blackening, Bottoms, The Color Purple, It’s a Wonderful Knife, Knock At The Cabin, Moving On, and Shortcomings. There are two awards ceremonies: at the Beverly Hilton on March 14 and at the Hilton Midtown New York on May 11.

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong is taking advantage of interviews about the band’s new album to speak out about anti-trans panic sweeping the nation. Billie Joe says “It’s like people are afraid of their children. Why would you be afraid? Why don’t you just let your kid be the kid they are?” Green Day’s new album Saviors is out this week.

There is a growing chorus of voices on social media pleading with Max to reverse their cancellation of the queer pirate comedy “Our Flag Means Death”. Many appreciated the show’s authentic approach to LGBTQ+ relationships without making that the brunt of any of the jokes. One change.org petition already has over 57,000 signatures.
