One of the stars of Heartstopper on Netflix has officially confirmed his homosexuality. Star Joe Locke sat down with Teen Vogue along with his co-star Kit Connor for an interview promoting season 2 of their hit show. Joe took the opportunity to set the record, saying he has been openly gay since he was 12 years old.

The World Bank has cut off funding for Uganda because of that country’s anti-LGBTQ+ law which calls for life in prison or even execution for people having same-sex relations. The bank has already lent Uganda $5.4 Billion. Funds from that approval that have not yet been dispersed will continue to be, although no new funding will be approved.

And a group of gay veterans are suing the Department of Defense for being denied honorable discharges after being dismissed during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” era. Having their discharges made honorable will make them eligible for all veteran benefits.
