Transgender lawmaker Zooey Zephyr in Montana is facing censure by Republican Leaders simply for speaking up against an anti-trans bill that would ban gender-affirming medical care. The republican speaker of the house has refused to allow her to speak further on any bills, in an anti-democratic move that has sparked debate across the country.

The Walt Disney Company has filed a federal lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis alleging that he and his allies have weaponized government power against Disney in retaliation for speaking out against the state’s “Don’t Say Gay” legislation. Disney’s lawsuit states “the company is left with no choice but to file this lawsuit to protect its cast members, guests and local development partners from a relentless campaign.”

And if you want to own a piece of gay history, almost 1,500 personal items from the estate of Freddie Mercury are being put up for auction by Sotheby’s in London. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Freddie Mercury Trust and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
